Rinku Singh smashed an unbeaten 23-ball 42 studded with six boundaries and a six as he and Nitish Rana (48 not out) chased down a 153-run target with ease to help Kolkata Knight Riders register a seven-wicket victory over Rajasthan Royals. With 31 needed off 18 balls, Rinku smacked back-to-back fours off Yuzvendra Chahal to seal the deal. Born in a lower-middle class family that endured the pangs of poverty, Rinku came close to giving up the game to repay a family debt of Rs 5 lakh in 2015.
Rinku Singh’s cricketing journey has been nothing short of inspiring! 💜
