61-year-old South African coach Graham Ford, who recently stepped down from his role as Ireland’s head coach, has shown his interest in becoming the England Test side’s new head coach. While Simon Katich and Graham Ford are on the list of potential England head coaches, Gary Kirsten, who coached India to the 2011 ODI World Cup title, also seems to be interested in taking up the job. Under his watch, South Africa became the top-ranked Test side.
Simon Katich and Graham Ford are on the list of potential England head coaches being targeted by Rob Key, the ECB’s new managing director of men’s cricket.
Key, who took up his post this week, is understood to want to split the head coach roles https://t.co/A3AB93mLYO
