RCB managed to keep both Devdutt Padikkal and Jos Buttler quiet in the powerplay, which yielded just 35 runs. The last 18 balls of the innings, however, reaped 51 runs as Buttler made RCB pay for the dropped catches by Akash Deep and David Willey. He hit two maximums apiece of M Siraj and Akash Deep while Hetmyer capped off the innings with an almighty swing over the square leg fence. Buttler finished with an unbeaten 70 that was laced with six sixes, pushing Rajasthan to an above-par total on a difficult pitch.
