It is the third IPL franchise for Shimron Hetmyer and his association with Rajasthan Royals couldn’t have begun on a more auspicious note. Three nights ago, he walked in to bat at the 15-over mark and went slam-bang to hit a 13-ball 32. Today, he came out to bat at a similar juncture in the 15th, and started teeing off from word go. Facing the brunt of Hetmyer’s pyrotechnics is his West Indies limited-overs skipper Kieron Pollard. Pollard only needed to make up three of the overs, but the fourth has proved mighty expensive.
Shimron Hetmyer’s cameo comes to an end on 35 (14).
Bumrah picks up his second wicket of the game.
