Delhi Capitals were down in the dumps at 72/5 chasing a huge 176 but Shardul Thakur’s 22 gave a bit of impetus to the innings and Axar Patel then joined hands with Lalit Yadav to consign Mumbai Indians to their 10th successive defeat in a season opener. The duo added 75 runs off only 30 balls as the Indians ran out of ideas. They kept bowling slower balls and the left-right combo rode roughshod, hitting the ball round the park. Axar was the aggressor, scoring 38* off 17 (3 sixes, 2 fours) and Lalit almost always found the odd boundary to ease the pressure.
WHAT. A. CHASE. 🔥🔥@DelhiCapitals register their first victory of the season in style!
