Steve Smith will sit out Australia’s white-ball leg of the ongoing Pakistan tour to better manage the trouble caused by an elbow injury last year. Following Australia’s historic Test series win, by a 1-0 margin in the Lahore decider on Friday, Smith has decided to return home and rest than risk compounding the elbow concern. Australia have added Queensland leg-spinner Mitchell Swepson in the squad as a replacement for the three ODIs and the solitary T20 in Lahore.
