Bangladesh performed magnificently with the bat to scale 314/7 in the opening ODI against South Africa at Centurion. The openers started off slowly with Tamim Iqbal and Liton Das taking their time, but the middle-order stepped on the gas in the second half of the innings and Bangladesh toppled the 300 mark with aplomb. Liton, Shakib and Yasir Ali got fifties and helped their team post a sizeable target. South Africa had discipline with the ball but they let it slip in the second half.
The Tigers roar to 314-7 🏏
Three half-centuries from Das, Shakib and Yasir propel Bangladesh to a very competitive total. South Africa will need to score 315 runs at 6.30 to win the match.
