Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith enabled Australia to chip away at Pakistan’s first innings score, as the visitors ended the second session of Day 4 of the opening Test at 364/4, still trailing by 112. Incidentally, there was no play during the morning session, with parts of the outfield being waterlogged due to rain. While Labuschagne was dismissed in the nervous nineties, Smith continued to grind Pakistan down alongside Cameron Green, who missed his half-century by a mere two runs.
