Usman Khawaja’s 97 helped Australia claw their way back in the first Test against Pakistan, scoring 2-222 at tea on day three in reply to the hosts’ 4-476 dec. Khawaja fell at the stroke of the interval, caught at bat-pad as his attempted reverse sweep off Nauman Ali ended up being lobbed to Imam-ul-Haq in close. The soft dismissal denied him what would have been an emotional century in his maiden Test in his country of birth, having spent his early years in nearby Islamabad.
Great catch, great review. 😱
