UAE beat Ireland in the final of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifier A courtesy a stunning 112 off 66 balls by Mohammad Waseem. Opting to bat in a pressure final, Ireland found themselves in a tight spot in the Powerplay, losing three wickets, including that of experienced campaigner Paul Stirling and captain Andy Balbirnie. They huffed and puffed to 159, which was chased down by Ireland thanks to the onslaught by Waseem who brought up his century in 59 balls. By the time he got out, UAE only needed seven runs to win off the last two overs.
What A Win! What a (Century – 112/66) knock by Waseem! What A Feeling 🏆
