Glenn Maxwell, Faf du Plessis, Smriti Mandhana and Ellyse Perry are among the numerous overseas stars who have been retained by their respective franchises for the 2022 edition of The Hundred, the ECB confirmed on Tuesday, February 22. In aggregate, over 150 men’s and women’s players have been retained by the teams, including 28 centrally contracted England players. Apart from Maxwell and Du Plessis, the other men’s players to have been retained are New Zealand quick Adam Milne, Afghanistan spin wizard Rashid Khan, Marchant de Lange, Marcus Stoinis and Tim David.
