Azhar Ali, the experienced campaigner from Pakistan, has been signed up as Worcestershire’s overseas player for the whole 2022 County season, the club announced on Thursday, February 17. Azhar replaced Matthew Wade as the Australian keeper-bat had to withdraw from the County season due to his upcoming Indian Premier League stint with Gujarat Titans. Azhar, who has played 91 Tests for Pakistan since his debut in 2010, has accumulated 6721 runs at an average of 42.53 with 18 tons.
