India will lock horns with neighbours Sri Lanka in a day-night pink-ball Test in Bangalore, beginning March 12, the BCCI confirmed along with a tweak to the itinerary. Sri Lanka were due to play a two-Test series in India, which will count towards the ICC Test Championship 2021-23, and three T20Is. However, the order of the white and red-ball matches has been reversed with Mohali now designated to host former captain Virat Kohli’s 100th Test match instead of the M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru. The tour will conclude with the first-ever pink-ball game between India and Sri Lanka in Bangalore, between March 12 and 16.
