(Photo) Ranji Trophy update: BCCI permits 20 players, 2 Covid reserves

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has stated that the squad size of each team in the Ranji Trophy should be no more than 30 members and there will be a minimum of 20 players in that contingent. Concurrently, the BCCI is also set to allow the states to carry two reserves in light of the pandemic situation. The BCCI has also provided an advisory on how the match fee can be disbursed. According to the board, of the 20, the playing XI will be entitled for whole match fee of Rs 2.4 lakh each and the remaining nine will get 50 per cent of it, as per Cricbuzz.
