(Photo) Grateful that I’m going out on a high – Justin Langer to CA chief

About 24 hours after Justin Langer tendered his resignation as the head coach of the Australian senior men’s team, a letter written by him to Cricket Australia’s chief Nick Hockley came out, where Langer said that it was in everyone’s best interest that he steps down from his role. Langer, who had taken over the reins from Darren Lehmann following the Sandpaper saga in Newlands, helped Australia to their maiden T20 World Cup win as well as a 4-0 triumph in the homes Ashes. However, his intense coaching style and micromanagement tendencies had not gone down well with certain players and support staff.
