Kyle Jamieson withdrew his name from the IPL auction in order to spend more time at home – and away from Covid-19 restrictions on tour – and to give himself a window in which to fine-tune his game with hustle towards cementing his spot in the New Zealand side across formats. The fast-bowling allrounder cited the reasons behind skipping IPL during a media interaction on the eve of Auckland’s Plunket Shield opener against Northern Districts, which is set to begin on Friday.
