(Video) Four-day Tests enough, says Aussie skipper Meg Lanning

Reflecting on a high-intensity Ashes Test and speaking ahead of Thursday’s first ODI, Australian skipper Meg Lanning said she believed four days was long enough for women’s Tests, provided they are played on sporting wickets and weather doesn’t play spoilsport. She added that the provision for extra time or a reserve day to cover for rain-affected matches should be in place. Heather Knight opined that the flexibility to choose between four or five days could be crucial when it came to encouraging nations outside of Australia, England and India to hold red-ball matches.
