The 95-run partnership from just 72 balls between Alex Horton and George Bell lifted England from 136/6 to a total of 231. They punished the two Afghanistan pacers in those final few overs. However, spin proved to be a different kettle of fish. All three spinners bowled superbly, going at close to three an over. England would be mighty pleased with the contributions from their lower order duo as they end up mustering respectable numbers after an early wobble in the first semi-final of the U-19 World Cup at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua.
We have set Afghanistan a target of 231 from 47 overs in the Men’s U19 @cricketworldcup semi-final 🤞
An excellent late rally 👏
