England’s gripping draw in the Women’s Ashes Test against Australia has left all-rounder Nat Sciver ‘more sad than happy’. After a declaration from Australia, England were in a comfortable position at 218/3 in the 41st over chasing 257 to win in 48 overs. Sciver, however, was the fourth to fall and her wicket triggered a collapse as England sank to 244/9, and eventually had to make ado with a draw. Sciver said she wasn’t as nervous as her teammates, clinging on to the belief that they could get over the line until they became nine down.
Whilst not quite managing the victory in the Women’s #Ashes Test, all-rounder Nat Sciver saw many reasons to praise the players that got England close.
