Kurtis Patterson took a sharp catch at deep mid-wicket to dismiss Daniel Christian in the BBL 11 finale between Perth Scorchers and Sydney Sixers, who lost the summit clash the fourth time. It was not easy to judge the trajectory of the catch as the power-hitter had smacked it flat and the ball seemed to be dipping on Patterson, but he timed his move to perfection and hung onto the tough chance. In response to 171/6, Andrew Tye (3/8) shone, skittling the Sixers batting line-up to pave the Scorchers’ way to a 79-run victory.
