Even as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is mulling over the options for a venue for staging IPL 2022, Cricket South Africa (CSA) has given a proposal, pointing out that staging the league in the country would be a cheaper option as compared to the United Arab Emirates, where the tournament took place last year, Cricbuzz reported. The publication also learnt that discussions have been taking place between the BCCI and CSA with emphasis on venues for which there would be little to no air travel, cutting down on the expenses for the franchises.
