South Africa batter Lizelle Lee was named as ICC Women’s ODI Cricketer of 2021, after she finished the year as the top run-scorer in the one-day format. Lee’s year got off to an insipid start as she bagged a duck in the first ODI against Pakistan, but the senior batter came back strongly with two scores of 40+ and played a vital role in South Africa’s clean sweep. Lee gave an even better account of herself in the tour of India, racking up 288 runs including a hundred and two fifties.
