Dasun Shanaka and Kamindu Mendis brought up their half-centuries to keep Sri Lanka afloat in the 303-run chase against Zimbabwe. The hundred partnership put Sri Lanka’s inning back on track after they lost three wickets early to be reduced to 31/3. Although Kamindu Mendis fell for a well-compiled 57 off 82 balls, Shanaka is approaching what would be a glorious hundred. The all-rounder has struck seven fours and two sixes in his captain’s knock so far.
