Set an imposing 303 to win, Sri Lanka lost their top order cheaply in the second ODI at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. While Kusal Mendis was cleaned up by Tendai Chatara for 7, Pathum Nissanka was outsmarted by Blessing Muzarabani for 16 as Sri Lanka lost their openers within the first six overs. Senior pro Dinesh Chandimal and Charith Asalanka couldn’t rescue his side either as the hosts bolstered their prospects of achieving series parity. Sri Lanka need 209 runs to win, with the scoreboard reading 94/4 after 19 overs.
