Mark Wood has breathed fire in his opening spell on day three, picking three crucial wickets to take his tally to four in the innings so far. Steve Smith took on the short ball only to find the man at fine-leg. Australia are 63/6, effectively ahead by 178. Earlier, Wood prised out Scott Boland and first-innings centurion Travis Head in quick succession, giving England the perfect opening on what is known as the moving day in cricketing parlance. If the visitors can pack up the innings quickly, they would have a genuine shot at victory.
