Zac Crawley was looking positive and had moved to 18 off 20 before Australian skipper Pat Cummins knocked him over with a nimble nip-backer. More importantly, the quick had a bat-pad stationed, who gobbled the catch up off an inside edge. Crawley was batting outside his crease and the forward short leg was strategically placed to pounce on any error in judgement. The onus is yet again on Joe Root and Dawid Malan as England head into the tricky twilight period, with the scoreboard reading a sorry 34/2.
