Rishabh Pant now has Test match hundreds in England, Australia and South Africa in his kitty. To achieve the distinction at a tender age of 250 is no mean feat. It has been a fantastic effort given the circumstances. Every batter has struggled on the Newlands surface and Pant also was under pressure coming into this game but for him to buckle down, blend watchfulness with aggression and come up with a three-figure knock is just excellent stuff. If not for his knock, India would have been in deep trouble by now. Thanks to his pyrotechnics, the visitors end up setting South Africa a target of 212.
