(Video) Counterpunching Stokes, Bairstow arrest the slide

Wicketless sessions have been rare to come by for England with the bat, but Ben Stokes and Jonny Bairstow managed to take the visitors unscathed to Tea after the scorecard read a sorry 36/4 at the end of the opening session on day three. England are a long way away from being comfortable but the hundred stand should boost the mood in the dressing room. Half-centurion Stokes has been the chief aggressor, ably supported by Bairstow as Australia hunt for the fifth wicket after running through the top-order.
