Haseeb Hameed was handed an early reprieve on day three of the Sydney Test. Poking away from the body at an away-going short of length delivery, the England opener offered a thick edge behind. Alex Carey reacted late and then reached out too far as the ball hit his wrist and went down, much to the dismay of Mitchell Starc. Rubbing salt into the bowler’s wounds, Hameed bent his knees and creamed a cut past backward point a ball later after the dropped chance.
Carey incomplete 😬
