Three more players returned a positive test in the Melbourne Stars’ camp with the tally stretching to as many as 10 players and eight from the support staff having contracted the virus. Nonetheless, the Big Bash League clash between the Stars and Perth Scorchers went ahead as per plan at the Junction Oval in Melbourne, wherein the Scorchers regained their spot at the top of the table with a convincing 50-run win in the first clash of Sunday’s (January 2) double-header.
