(Video) “Brilliant way to start the tour”: Kohli elated as India conquer Centurion

India have never won a Test series on South African soil, but Virat Kohli and his troops might well be on their way to break the jinx. Their Centurion victory was set up by opener KL Rahul’s century in the first innings. Mohammed Shami’s five-wicket haul helped India take a big lead and the pace trio of Shami, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj were at their lethal best in the second innings as they enabled a convincing 113-run win for the tourists.

As India secured the victory, Virat Kohli’s side achieved a distinguidhed feat in Test cricket. The Indian team – only for the second time in its history – won four overseas Tests in a calendar year. Incidentally, it was under Kohli’s captaincy when India did so for the first time as well.
