Sheet-anchor Dean Elgar had been dropped on 63 by Mohammed Shami in his follow-through as India look to dislodge South Africa and clinch a win in the Boxing Day Test in Centurion, but Jasprit Bumrah rapped the Proteas skipper on the pads to ensure the dropped chance doesn’t cost India much. Elgar went upstairs to challenge the umpire’s decision but ball-tracking flashed three reds and the opener’s stoic resistance came to an end. Bumrah has been bowling with rapacious intensity and now has three wickets in his kitty.
