Zimbabwe will visit Sri Lanka for a three-match ODI series in January 2022, Sri Lanka Cricket announced on Tuesday, December 28. The bilateral series will be played behind closed doors at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy. Mahela Jayawardene has been appointed as the “consultant coach” across formats for the hosts. It will be his first assignment in the new role with the matches being played on January 16, 18 and 21.
After the Zimbabwe tour, Sri Lanka will travel to Australia for a five T20I match series in February before the overseas assignment to India comprising two Tests and 3 T20Is.
