(Photo) Boland hopes his debut performance would inspire young Aboriginals to take up cricket

Victoria pace bowler Scott Boland ripped apart the England batting unit at the Melbourne Cricket Ground and returned stunning figures of 6 for 7 to power Australia to a thumping innings and 14-run win, which in turn helped the home side to retain the Ashes. It turned out to be a special day for the Test debutant as he was later awarded the Johnny Mullagh medal as Player of the Match for the Boxing Day Test. The pace bowler hoped that this defining moment would be a source of inspiration for young Aboriginals to take up the game.
