Scott Boland has been on an absolute roll at the MCG. The local boy’s figures read an insane 6/5 in 3.3 overs, with his latest victim being the England skipper Joe Root. Boland hit the hard length as Root went for the expansive drive only to nick behind. It was a hammer blow to England who had already lost Ben Stokes and Jonny Bairstow early in the morning session on day three. Having netted the big fish, Boland wasted little time in bagging his fifth and sixth scalp as Mark Wood handed him a nice return catch before James Anderson nicked off.
Who’s writing Scott Boland’s script!? 😱
