The schedule for the mega auction for the Indian Premier League has been confirmed. It will be held on February 12 and 13 in Bangalore. Official communication from the Board of Control for Cricket in India is awaited, but as per Cricbuzz, the IPL officials have called each franchise on Thursday, December 23, to inform them of the dates. The BCCI has communicated formally to International boards and state associations to send in the names of the players to be enrolled for the auction by January 17. The mega event, being held for 10 teams this year, will have more than 1000 players with as many as between 200 to 250 expected to go under the hammer.
