Marcus Harris received strong support from head coach Justin Langer as the under-fire Australia opener looks to fight his way out of a barren run. The left-hander has been confirmed to start the Boxing Day Ashes Test next week at home despite aggregating a paltry 38 runs from four innings in the series so far, a string of pedestrian scores that has seen his career average dip to 22.19 at the end of 12 Test matches. Meanwhile, Langer opined that in-form fast bowler Mitchell Starc will be fit to compete in the third Test at the MCG.
