Dawid Malan has been the form guy for England in the ongoing Ashes series and he stamped his authority with a magnificent cover drive off Jhye Richardson. He must have been seeing the hard red cherry like a football given the way he threw the kitchen sink at Jhye Richardson’s half-volley, sending the ball scorching through the Adelaide turf. England did lose Haseeb Hammed early in the second innings as well, but Malan and Rory Burns are looking in prime shape in the middle.
