Michael Neser will make his Test debut in the second Ashes Test at the Adelaide Oval, becoming the 462nd Australian men’s cricketer. Neser has been called into the side at the eleventh hour after captain Pat Cummins was ruled out on the day of the match, having been identified as a Covid-19 close contact. Prior to the Adelaide Test, Neser had been part of the Australian squad for 17 Tests without ever donning the baggy green, but the wait is finally over for the quick.
