Nick Larkin’s 52* and an excellent final over under pressure from leggie Adam Zampa to defend 11 against Sydney Thunder, helped Melbourne Stars to their first win of the 11th edition of the Big Bash League, at the MCG on Friday. The spinner bowled with guts and gumption and Stars successfully bagged their first points of the season with a last-ball thriller. This, even after Glenn Maxwell dropped an absolute sitter to reprieve Alex Ross and bring the hard-hitting Ben Cutting on strike for the final ball of the contest.
