(Video) Jon Lewis defends England’s bowling combination

England’s bowling coach Jon Lewis came to the defence of the tourists after a chastening day in the field on day two of the opening Ashes Test at Gabba. Australia ended the day with a sizeable lead of 196 and still three wickets left, with Travis Head finishing unbeaten on 112. Following a 156-run second-wicket stand involving David Warner and Marnus Labuschagne, Australia slipped to 195/5 but Head dealt a counterpunch to put his side in the driving seat. Lewis dismissed suggestions that England lacked an extra pace option, while placing his faith in the team to claw back in the contest over the remaining days.
