Mark Wood reaped only his second reward for his long and hard toil in the form of Nathan Lyon. He’s bowled with a lot of heart. England are effectively two bowlers short with Ben Stokes’ injury and Jack Leach’s profligacy. But Wood came back for another burst and sent down an accurate bumper to dismiss Lyon. Even the 9th wicket stand has added 29, taking Australia’s lead to 273. Travis Head was the last wicket to fall, castled by Wood after having notched up the 150-milestone.
