India have picked up wickets at regular intervals in the afternoon to give themselves a window of opportunity of rolling New Zealand out on the final day of the opening Test. The visitors have lost half their side for 126 and India’s chances of winning the Kanpur Test have improved in no small measure. While Ross Taylor played in the anticipation of turn to be trapped plumb, Henry Nicholls missed an arm-ball from Axar Patel all ends up. Nicholls has disappointed in both the innings despite being known as one of the better players of spin in the Kiwi camp.
