New Zealand openers Tom Latham and Will Young have shared an unbeaten 100-run stand, but there are some demons lurking in the pitch as some balls have spun while others have kept low in wicked fashion. While Young is approaching his maiden Test century, Latham has looked a bit more circumspect of the two, especially against R Ashwin. For India, wicket-keeper Wriddhiman Saha didn’t take the field due to a neck strain, with KS Bharat being handed over the gloves. The hosts are oozing intensity and would be hunting for first blood.
