New Zealand reached the three-figure mark in response to India’s 345 with Tom Latham essaying his trademark sweep off Ravindra Jadeja. These are ominous signs for the home side, as Latham approaches fifty and Will Young inching towards the 80s. It is Young’s second in Tests and well-deserved for a gritty effort with the bat so far. It is his first inning on Indian soil, and he’s shown great application skills so far to counter spin and the variable bounce. In desperation for a wicket, India even took a review for an LBW against Young but it was clearly missing leg.
Charging on. Young (66*) and Latham (40*) post their 100 run partnership midway through the final session of day two in Kanpur. 110-0 at drinks, trailing by 235 runs. LIVE scoring | https://t.co/yGSlW6a2d5 #INDvNZ pic.twitter.com/NGb7xL7wlN
