Sri Lankan spinners Ramesh Mendis and Lasith Embuldeniya ripped apart the West Indian batting line-up to leave them reeling at 52 for 6 at stumps on day four of the opening Test at Galle. West Indies are on the brink of a defeat, needing a further 296 runs to win with just four wickets in hand. As was the case in the first innings, it was the loopy off-spin of Mendis that wreaked havoc, as he accounted for four more West Indian wickets to take his match tally to seven.
