The Marsh Sheffield Shield match between South Australia and Queensland was abandoned due to a misbehaving pitch at at Karen Rolton Oval. Action kicked off more than two hours late on day one due to persistent drizzle which meant the track remained under covers for the entire morning. Joe Burns was struck on the glove after lunging forward to a ball from David Grant that lobbed to second slip. Marnus Labuschagne also copped several deliveries during his 48-ball stay, one of which struck him on the left arm in wicked fashion.
