(Photo) Williamson makes Australia pay for dropped catch

Martin Guptill and Kane Williamson looked in a hole after the PowerPlay and the release was just around the corner. It did in Mitchell Starc’s over in the 11th. The New Zealand captain put his hand up to provide the move-on, although he did enjoy the rub of the green when Josh Hazlewood grassed a sitter at long leg. Williamson went aerial behind square but it looked like he’d found the fielder, but Hazlewood messed up to deny Australia the second breakthrough. He has surely made Australia pay by scoring the fastest half-century ever in a T20 World Cup final.
