Deepak Chahar took international cricket by storm in November 2019 by returning incredible figures of 6/7 in just 3.2 overs in a T20I against Bangladesh, a brute of a spell that included a hat-trick. This was the first instance of an Indian bowler snaring a hat-trick in the shortest format of the game. Also, Chahar’s 6 for 7 was then the best figures ever recorded in T20Is. His victims were Liton Das, Soumya Sarkar, Mohammad Mithun, Aminul Islam, Shafiul Islam, and Mustafizur Rahman. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime performance from the talented seamer.
#OnThisDay in 2019@deepak_chahar9 went berserk with the ball & scalped 6⃣ wickets, conceding just 7 runs. 👏 👏
His heroics also included a hat-trick – first for a #TeamIndia bowler in T20Is (Men’s). 👍 👍
