As per a report in Cricbuzz, the Ahmedabad franchise of the Indian Premier League is likely to rope Shastri along with his support staff from the Indian team, which features bowling coach Bharat Arun and fielding coach R Sridhar. The report further added that Shastri, focused on the team’s World Cup campaign, did not want any distractions and has sought time till the end of the marquee event, to form his decision. Shastri took over the reins of the Indian team in 2014 and barring a one-year break in between he has been helming the national team since.
The Ahmedabad franchise are interested in signing Ravi Shastri and the other support staff members in the Indian team under him.
